GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell in their first Colonial States Athletic Conference game of the season as the Griffins dropped a 16-3 decision to Marywood on Tuesday afternoon.
Lauren Mitros had a goal and an assist along with three groundballs, three draws, and two caused turnovers.Â

Danae Perrymond also registered goals for the Griffins (0-2, 0-1 CSAC).
Arianna Hensinger had career-highs of five groundballs and four caused turnovers.
Natalie Burke led all scorers with seven points on five goals and two assists for Marywood (1-4, 1-0 CSAC). Ashley Valway added four goals and an assist as the Pacers scored four times in the first six minutes of the game and would get out to a 7-0 lead at the 18:17 mark. They would lead 10-2 at halftime.

Bria Gillard made six saves in each half for a total of 12 stops. Marywood keeper Lauren Smith recorded four.
Gwynedd Mercy is right back at it on Thursday night when they host Hood College in a 7 p.m. start.
