ALLENTOWN, PA. -- Lauren Melino had a goal and an assist while goalie Kailey Hopkins made eight saves to help lead Gwynedd Mercy to a 3-0 CSAC win at Cedar Crest on Saturday.

Melino scored her first collegiate goal just 5:44 into the contest off a corner kick from Grace Macnamara. Meghan Petroski would make it 2-0 in the 25th minute with her team-leading sixth tally of the season. Madeline Swartley picked up the assist.

For Hopkins, she made three stops in the first half and five in the second en route to her fifth shutout of the year.

The Griffins (5-4-2, 3-2 CSAC) would tack on an insurance score late in the contest when Melino set up Samantha Brown to account for the scoring.

Gwynedd Mercy will host Notre Dame of Maryland here in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday evening in a 6 p.m. start.
