HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Centenary's Jessica Benoit scored with 6:53 remaining in regulation as the Griffins lost a tough 1-0 CSAC contest to the Cyclones on Saturday. The loss snaps a three-game win streak for GMercyU.
After both teams combined for nine first-half shots, the Griffins (4-3-2, 2-1 CSAC) managed just three compared to the Cyclones' nine. Centenary (3-6, 2-2 CSAC) also had five second-half corner kicks.

Kailey Hopkins made three of her four saves in the second half to keep things close, Centenary keeper Kaitlin Marold recorded two stops as this was the first time the Griffins were held scoreless this season.
Gwynedd Mercy will look to rebound on Tuesday when they play the second of three-straight road games. The Griffins travel to Marywood for a 4 p.m. kick.
