DOYLESTOWN, PA. -- Junior
Danny Saba (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) scored twice while
Chris Black (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) assisted on all three goals as Gwynedd Mercy came away with a 3-1 win at Delaware Valley Tuesday night.
Saba, who tied a career high for goals in a game, struck twice in the first half, as he was set up from Black on two great long passes once in the fourth minute and again in the 20th minute. Later in the second, brother
Matt Saba (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) found the back of the net for his first tally on the season.
Senior goalie
Greg Gengaro (Bloomsbury, N.J./Phillipsburg) was 16:31 away from this third consecutive shutout in as many starts, but the Aggies would get on the board on a goal from Alec Scarano. Gengaro would register seven saves while Del Val's Austin Brotman made one.
The Griffins were outshot, 13-9, including 6-2 in the first, but made them all count as both attempts resulted in goals.
Gwynedd Mercy stays on the road when they head to Cairn for a CSAC clash on Saturday starting at 3 p.m.
