LANGHORNE, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy suffered their first CSAC loss of the season, falling 2-0 at Cairn on Saturday, as two second-half goals from the Highlanders did in the Griffins.
After a scoreless first half, Cairn's Craig Kikendall made it 1-0 early in the second (48'). It became 2-0 in the 68th minute on another unassisted goal from Caleb Moore
GM, who had five of their nine shots in that second stanza had their best chance come with just under 12 to play as a header from junior
Danny Saba was high over the crossbar.
This is the seventh time this season the Griffins did not get on the scoreboard. Senior
Greg Gengaro weathered through six saves while the Highlanders' Mike Warren made three.
Gwynedd Mercy (4-9-1, 1-1-1 CSAC) gets back at it on Wednesday when they head to Rosemont for another CSAC tilt.
