GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Wesley spoiled Gwynedd Mercy's home opener in a 1-0 defeat Thursday evening.

The Griffins were outshot, 12-3, but a late scoring opportunity was for not as a shot from
Meghan Petroski (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) from the left side went across the goal mouth but found the far post with just over two minutes in regulation.
Tadley finished with seven saves on the night. Wesley had a 5-2 corner kick advantage.
Gwynedd Mercy (1-2) returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Muhlenberg for an 8 p.m. kickoff.
