GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- A doubleheader sweep of Centenary on Saturday, extended Gwynedd Mercy's win streak to six games. The Griffins would take game one, 8-0, and the second, 5-3.

Sophomore Ashley Lamont (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) picked up two more wins on the mound, allowing just two hits in game one, while striking out seven in game two.

She would go 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI's while junior Megan Kelly (Ivyland, Pa./Little Flower) also had two hits and would score twice. GM would plate runs in the first, second, and third innings. Lamont's two-run single highlighted a four-run second.

In game two, the Griffins would score a four-spot again, this time in the fifth to erase a 2-1 deficit. Lamont and Kelly had RBI singles but the big blow was a two-run triple off the bat of senior Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn).

Lamont scattered two runs on six hits with just one walk.

Heather Passaro and Brittany Paulikas each had three hits for the Cyclones (4-16, 4-3 CSAC).

The Griffins (6-11, 6-0 CSAC) get back at it on Friday with a rescheduled game at Keystone starting at 3 p.m.
