IMMACULATA, PA. -- Immaculata took two from Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday, winning game one, 7-1, and game two, 4-3.

Errors did the Griffins in for game one, as Gwynedd committed six, two of which came in the first, leading to three runs. GM would get on the board in the fourth as Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) stole third and would come to score on a fielding error.

Two more errors in the fifth led to a four-run frame. GM was held to three hits from IU starter Meagan Fitzgerald, who fanned five and walked two. Gwynedd starter Ashley Lamont (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) struck out six, but gave up seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits.

In game two, the Griffins would battle back from a 3-1 deficit with a run in the sixth and one in the seventh, but the Mighty Macs plate the game-winner on a walk-off RBI single.

Alexis Deal (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock South) would go 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base.

The Griffins (6-15, 6-4 CSAC) will look to end their four-game slide when they travel to Arcadia for two in non-conference action starting at 1 p.m.
