BOX SCORECLARKS SUMMIT, PA. -- Baptist Bible defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 3-0, on Thursday as the Griffins concluded their 2014 campaign. Set scores were 25-20, 25-10, and 25-11.
Gwynedd Mercy finishes the season with a final record of 7-23 and 2-9 in conference play.
Highlighting GM was sophomore
Laura Kirk (Saegertown, Pa./Maplewood) who led the Griffins with eight kills and added nine digs. Juniors
Lauren Tressel (Pembroke, Ma./Pembroke) added 10 digs while
Brianna Greer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) chipped in three kills, an ace, and a solo block.
Callie Kitowski registered a match-high 11 kills while teammate Taryn Fritz was one kill shy of a double double as she added 10 digs for Baptist Bible (10-19, 6-5 CSAC).
The Griffins hit 22-13-82 (.110) on the night while the Defenders totaled a line of 34-11-90 (.256).
With no seniors on the squad, the future looks very bright for the Griffin Volleyball Program.
