The Ravens (6-7, 4-2 CSAC) came out strong early, taking an early taking a 6-0 lead to force an early Griffin timeout. Rosemont would take their largest lead of the game at the 8:20 mark when Kiwan Murray converted a three-point play to stretch their lead to seven (22-15). The Griffins would trail until the 2:02 mark when
Joshua Carson (Plantation, Fl. / West Broward) would connect on a pair of free throws to tie the contest 32-32.
Goodman would give GM their first lead of the game 34-32 when he scored on a put back with just over a minute remaining in the half. Gwynedd would hold the two-point lead heading into the halftime break.
In the second half, GM would stretch their lead to 12 after leading by three when they used a four point-swing after a Rosemont technical foul, turning an eight-point lead to a 60-48 edge. The Griffins would keep a double-figure lead the rest of the way in the victory.
As a team, Gwynedd shot 50.0% from the floor (29-of-58) and forced 20 turnovers that led to 27 points. GM also held an advantage on the boards, out-rebounding Rosemont, 35-31.
A trio of Griffins also reached the double digit scoring column.
Justin Knight (Mays Landing, N.J. / Oakcrest) scored 13 while
Colin Gates (Boca Raton, Fl. / Grandview Prep) and
Darnell Artis (Philadlephia, Pa. / LaSalle College H.S.) each added 11 points.
Gwynedd returns to action Monday night hosting Keystone at the Griffin Complex as part of a CSAC Doubleheader with the women. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. following the women's game at 6 p.m.
