GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – FDU-Florham defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 2-0, on Wednesday night to give the Griffins their first home loss on the season.

The Devils (4-4) scored two first half goals to give themselves a cushion heading into the halftime break. Lanie Andrews scored the first goal of the night in the 12th minute with her blast just inside the crease. Erin O'Connell would find the scoring column on her deflection assisted by Nicole Hall at the 22:44 mark.

In the second half, the Griffins (4-4), who were 4-0 at the GM Athletic Complex so far this season, dominated the pace of play outshooting FDU, 8-1, but were unable to put the ball past goalie Tess Loughran.

Junior Kelly Kruk (Phoenixville, Pa. / Methacton) had a busy first half, stopping all five shots she faced for the game. Loughran recorded six saves for the Devils.

Gwynedd returns back to action on Sunday when they will travel to William Paterson. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
