BRYN MAWR, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy lost a pair of matches at Bryn Mawr College, falling 3-0 to McDaniel and 3-1 to the host Owls.
Against McDaniel, set scores were 25-20, 25-20, 25-15. Freshman
Laura Kirk (Saegertown, Pa./Maplewood) recorded seven kills while
Chelsea Gadecki (telford, Pa./Phoenixville) added 11 assists, both of which were season-highs. Sophomore
Caroline Bisch (East Norriton, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) tied a personal best with nine digs.
Freshman
Kasey Loring (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) led GM (1-12) with nine kills in the match with Bryn Mawr (25-16, 25-11, 20-25, 25-13). She and senior
Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) would add three aces.
Gwynedd would drop the first two sets, but hammer out a 25-20 win in the third. In the fourth set, GM fell behind 8-0, and later 15-3, and could not catch up to the Owls.
The Griffins return to action on Thursday when they travel to CSAC foe Centenary in a 7 p.m. start.
