2013 CSAC Tournament Elimination Game

ASTON, PA. -- Keystone posted a 5-1 win over Gwynedd-Mercy in an elimination game of the 2013 CSAC Softball Tournament Saturday morning, ending the Griffin's season.
The Giants, who move on to the championship series with host Neumann, scored twice in the fifth to open up a one-run game. The Griffins, who committed four errors, had a miscue in the seventh which led to an insurance run for Keystone.
Freshman
Alexis Deal (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock South) went 2-for-3, driving in the team's only run with an RBI single in the fourth.
KC starter Sarah Schraden limited GM to five hits with three walks and a strikeout. She would add an RBI double as part of the two-run fifth.
Gwynedd starter
Ashley Lamont (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) took the loss, as the freshman gave up three earned runs on eight hits with four K's and a walk.
The Griffins finish the season at 20-16. It marks the first time the team hit the 20-win plateau since the 2009 season (22-16).
