GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell 3-0 to the hands of Neumann on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference Match. Set scores were 25-14, 25-8, and 25-18.

The Griffins (2-16 1-3 CSAC) led 5-2 in the first set but saw the Knights rally to take an 11-9 edge and later an 18-10 lead. Neumann would score seven of the next 11 points to take set #1. In the second, Gwynedd fell behind 8-0 and could not catch up. The third set had the Griffins out to a 6-1 advantage but a run of 12-straight points, turned a 12-7 lead into a 19-12 deficit. Neumann closed the match out scoring five points in a row to win 25-18.

Senior Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) led GM with five kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Caroline Bisch (East Norriton, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) chipped in four digs and a team-high four aces in her first action in the last four matches. As a team, the Griffins totaled 11 kills with 18 errors on 62 attempts (-.113%).

Katelin Kuklentz led all attackers with seven kills as the Knights (10-9, 4-0 CSAC) won their fifth in a row.

Gwynedd Mercy will try and stop a four game slide when they travel to Rosemont for a conference tilt on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
