GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Cedar Crest took down Gwynedd Mercy, 3-1, in a CSAC Volleyball Match Wednesday night at the Griffin Complex. Set scores were 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-9.
In a first set that saw six ties but a Cedar Crest win, the second had more drama, as the Griffins rallied from a 24-19 deficit. GM would score the next seven points to pull out a 26-24 victory. The Falcons would pull away to win the third, leading 22-19 and score three of the next four point and in the fourth, race out to an 8-4 lead and not look back in the match-clinching set.
The Griffins (3-21, 2-5 CSAC) travel to Bryn Athyn tomorrow night in a 7 p.m. start.
