BRYN ATHYN, PA. – Bryn Athyn handed Gwynedd-Mercy a 3-1 defeat Thursday evening in non-league action. Game scores were 25-23, 25-20, 20-25, and 25-10.

The Griffins (1-10) won the third set and looked to extend the match, but could not catch up in the fourth.

Senior Kelsey Craig (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) led GM with eight kills while Kristen Gambone (East Norriton, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) added 15 assist and six digs. Freshman Lauren Tressel (Pembroke, Ma./Pembroke) chipped in a team-high eight digs.

Kaitlyn Brock totaled a game-high 16 kills for the Lions (3-7).

Gwynedd-Mercy will host a tri-match on Saturday to open CSAC play. The Griffins will take on Cairn starting at 10 a.m. Cairn will then take on Delaware Valley at noon. Del Val and Gwynedd will close out the day in a 2 p.m. start.
