WILKES-BARRE, PA. – King's took down Gwynedd-Mercy, 3-0, in a non-conference match Friday night. Game scores were 25-22, 25-17, and 25-12.

As a team, the Griffins recorded a season-high 36 digs with three players having eight apiece: senior Kristen Gambone (East Norriton, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) and freshmen Lauren Tressel (Pembroke, Ma./Pembroke) and Caroline Bisch (East Norriton, Pa./Archbishop Carroll).

Gambone dished out a season-best 20 assists.

Alexa Nelson led all attackers with 12 kills. Teammate Jillian Foster chipped in 10 digs and six aces.

Senior Ariana Richards (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) paced GM with eight kills.

The Griffins (0-6) travel to Ramapo College tomorrow to participate in the Roadrunner Invitational. Gwynedd will play three matches on Saturday, the first coming against Rutgers-Newark beginning at 10 a.m.
