GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. –Marywood won a CSAC Doubleheader on Monday, defeating the Griffins, 10-0, in game one and, 9-0, in the second.

Gwynedd (0-24, 0-12 CSAC) was held to two hits in the first game as the Pacer's Alexandra Stine struck out five and walked three.

Sophomore Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) had one of the two hits, a lead-off triple in the fourth.

Marywood's Meghin Palmer was 4-for-4 with three RBIs as the Pacers plated eight in the first inning.

Jennifer Whalen (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) was responsible for those eight runs (four were earned) on five hits and five walks as the freshman suffered the loss.

In game two, Jillian Flanigan had a pair of RBI triples to help the Pacers break it open late.

Freshman MaryKate Ballerino (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) had the lone hit, a triple in the first. From there Katherine King did not allow a baserunner to help Marywood (11-11, 9-1 CSAC) to the sweep.

The Griffins will get right back at it tomorrow with a conference twinbill at Keystone starting at 3 p.m.
