BALTIMORE, MD. – Gwynedd-Mercy ventured to Notre Dame for a Colonial States Athletic Conference Tri-Match with the host Gators and Baptist Bible but the Griffins fell in both matches.

GM fell 3-1 to Notre Dame in the day's first match. Game scores were 29-27, 21-25, 25-21, and 25-20. Junior Michelle Carrieri (Warrington, Pa./Cental Bucks South) totaled seven kills, 15 digs, four aces and one solo block. Senior Kelsey Craig (Boothwyn , Pa./Chichester) added six kills, six digs and three blocks (two solo).

Cortney Silvis had a match-high 16 kills for the Gators.

Gwynedd then lost a similar 3-1 match to the Defenders of Baptist Bible with the game scores as 25-6, 25-19, 16-25, and 25-8. Carrieri again was the leader in kills, totaling seven as she also chipped in 18 digs and five aces.

Jaycee Shirk had a double-double for Baptist Bible, finishing with 12 kills and 14 digs.

The Griffins (2-17, 1-4 CSAC) will return to action on Thursday when they host Cabrini here at the Griffin Complex at 7 p.m.
