GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy honored its three seniors in the final home match of the season, but the Griffins fell, 3-1, to Centenary Thursday evening at the Griffin Complex. Game scores were 25-13, 23-25, 25-12, and 25-11.

Seniors Kristen Gambone (East Norriton, Pa./Lansdale Catholic), Kelsey Craig (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester), and Ariana Richards (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) all received accolades from the team and coaching staff along with the player's parents before the match. GM also honored Centenary's five seniors: Jelena Markovic, Shantise Parker, Kelli McMenamin, Amanda Metauten, and Erika Chu.

Gambone posted 15 assists, to go along with seven digs and two aces. Junior Michelle Carrieri (Warrington, Pa./Council Rock South) tied a season-high with nine kills.

For the Cyclones (7-24, 5-5 CSAC), Markovic totaled 11 kills, 20 assists, seven aces, and seven digs. Chu also also added 11 kills.

The Griffins will close out the season on Saturday with a CSAC match at Neumann starting at 1 p.m.
