GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- In a Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball matchup Neumann University defeated Gwynedd-Mercy, 3-0, Tuesday evening. Game scores were 25-17, 25-18, and 25-20. 

Senior Aileen Reilly (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) recorded six kills with a team-high 14 digs. Freshman Caitlin Westerfer (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley) was a dig shy of a double-double as she dished up 24 assists.

The Griffins where never able to dig themselves out from their early disadvantage in the first set. The Knights (11-5, 4-0 CSAC) took advantage of a six-point run early in game two to pace themselves to a 25-18 set win. In game three, the Knights used a four-point swing with an ace and two kills to go on to win the set 25-20.

Katelin Kuklentz led Neumann with 11 kills and added 12 digs and three aces.

Senior Rachel Lambert (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) had nine kills, one short for her fourth double-digit kill on the season.

With the loss the Griffins (4-8, 1-2 CSAC) look to bounce back on Thursday as they travel to Marywood for a 7 p.m. start
