GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy powered its way to a 3-0 non-league win over Bryn Athyn Saturday afternoon. Game scores were 25-16, 25-18, and 25-19.

Gwynedd totaled 30 kills on 26 assists and 19 aces with six total team blocks for the match.

Senior Rachel Lambert (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) had a game-high 12 kills. Senior Kristina Schneider (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) registered a personal-best 10 service aces.
 
  register In the first set, the Griffins (4-7) led 13-12 before five-straight points off the serve Schneider, opening up a six-point edge. The second set saw GM use another scoring stretch to help erase an 11-6 deficit. The trend continued in the third as a nine-point run spring boarded them out of a 15-11 hole (as noted in picture above) to go on and clinch the match.

Lambert added two solo blocks. Senior Maria Stilwell (Ridley, Pa./Swarthmore) led GM with six digs.

Kaitlyn Brock posted 10 kills for the Lions (2-5).

The Griffins resume action on Tuesday when they host Neumann in CSAC action starting at 7 p.m.
