HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Centenary handed Gwynedd-Mercy its first CSAC defeat as the Griffins fell, 3-1, in volleyball action Wednesday night. Game scores were 25-16, 23-25, 26-24, and 25-13.

The loss send the Griffins to 3-7 and 1-1 in conference play. The Cyclones remain unbeated in league action at 3-0 and 5-9 overall.

Senior Maria Stilwell (Ridley, Pa./Swarthmore) had totals of 12 digs and six aces while Rachel Lambert (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) recorded a team-high 12 kills.

Devon Paffendorf led all attackers with 17 kills. Teammate Jelena Markovic recorded a triple-double (16 assists, 11 aces, 12 digs).

The Griffins overall had 13 service aces, led by Kristina Schneider (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) with six, but they were guilty of a season-high 20 receptions errors.

Gwynedd-Mercy returns home to host Bryn Athyn on Saturday in non-league action, starting at 1 p.m.
