BRYN ATHYN, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy won two of three at the Bryn Athyn College Quad Match on Saturday, recording their first wins on the season.

Despite dropping a 3-0 decision to Goucher, the Griffins (2-6) rebounded with victories over Bryn Mawr (3-1) and St. Elizabeth (3-0).

Senior Rachel Lambert (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) totaled 29 kills, seven total blocks in the three matches while senior Aileen Riley (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) added totals of 23 kills and 18 digs.

The duo peaked to combine for 27 of the team's 39 kills in the win over Bryn Mawr. Lambert also had four blocks (two solo). Senior Maria Stilwell (Swarthmore, Pa./Ridley) added eight aces.

The Griffins will welcome Cedar Crest on Wednesday in their CSAC opener here at the Griffin Complex starting at 8 p.m.
