GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Visiting Keystone swept a CSAC Doubleheader from Gwynedd-Mercy, winning game one, 8-7, and the second, 12-5.

The Griffins were guilty of 11 errors in the two games including some in the latter stages in each contest allowing the Giants to pull ahead.

Game one saw Gwynedd battle back from a 6-0 deficit to tie it at 7-7 after a five-run fifth. Freshman Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn), who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, knocked in a run as did junior Nicole Paleologus (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) and freshman Katlin Nuscis (Chichester, Pa./Chichester) with RBI singles.

The Giants plated the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh as run scored from second on an error at second base.

Gwynedd had the tying run on base as Farrar led the bottom of the frame with a single. After a ground out, strikeout, and a wild pitch, she would be stranded at third as a fly out to center ended the contest.

Senior Heather Morgan (Audubon, N.J./Audubon) suffered the loss, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits with five strikeouts.

In game two, Keystone (10-8, 6-4 CSAC) scored three runs each in the sixth and seventh to break open a tight contest.

Freshman Maria Seserko (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) went 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Sophomore Kelsey Craig (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added a double and a triple with two RBIs.

The Griffins (5-10, 3-3 CSAC) return to action tomorrow in a makeup CSAC DH at Marywood beginning at 2 p.m.
