GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Moravian defeated Gwynedd-Mercy, 14-1, in five innings in a non-league single game Saturday morning.

The Griffins (4-7) were held to two hits from Greyhound twirler Elizabeth Python.

Sophomore Tegan Wendell (Glenside, Pa./Abington) had one of the two hits, a double in the second. After a passed ball to get her to third, she would score on an RBI groundout by freshman Stephanie Farrar (North Wales, Pa./North Penn).

Melissa Cottone went 1-for-2 with a three-run double. Moravian crossed six in the first and later seven in the third.

Gwynedd resumes action on Friday when they host Baptist Bible in a CSAC doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
