GLASSBORO, N.J. – Gwynedd-Mercy defeated Berkeley College, 86-57, Friday night in the first game of the Heritage's Dairy Stores Classic hosted by Rowan.

The Griffins (5-2) will take on the Profs, who were 88-69 winners over Penn State-Brandywine in Friday's other contest, in the championship game tomorrow at 3 p.m.

Senior Jon Hogga (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) had game-highs of 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting and eight rebounds. Junior Dan DelConte (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) added 14 while senior Jon Crabtree (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) and Brandyn Wims (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) each netted 13 as Gwynedd led from start to finish.

Early in the contest, GM scored the first eight points and would later go up 23-8 as Crabtree hit one of his two –three pointers on the night. Gwynedd would shoot 54% in the first half and lead 42-22 at the break.

Gary Williams Jr. led Berkeley (1-6) with 12 points. Justin Savage chipped in 11 and Brandon Stewart with 10.
