Gwynedd-Mercy 79, Rosemont 60

ROSEMONT, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy posted a 79-60 win at Rosemont in the Colonial States Athletic Conference opener for both teams Monday night. 

The Griffins (3-1, 1-0 CSAC) opened the game on a 12-0 run and did not look back in the league win.

Senior Jon Crabtree (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) led the charge as he netted a game-high 17 points. Junior Dan DelConte (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) added 16 as GM shot 56% in the first stanza to enter the lockerroom up 46-27 at the half.

Sophomores Doug Berzins (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Frank Champion (Northfield, N.J./Mainland) each added 10 respectively as Gwynedd committed just seven turnovers on the evening.

Crabtree, who hit four of the team's 10 three-pointers, hit his second trey of the game in the team's 12-0 spurt to start the contest. The squad would lead by as much as 24 in the period.

Senior Jon Hogga (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) and junior Brandon Sharp (Hammonton, N.J./St. Joseph's) each pulled down a team-high six rebounds.

Ross Reber led the Ravens (1-4, 0-1 CSAC) with 14 points.

The Griffins will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Cabrini in a conference clash starting at 8 p.m.
