Kelsey Mello joined the Gwynedd Mercy University cheerleading coaching staff prior to the 2025–2026 season as an assistant coach. A Massachusetts native, now based in Philadelphia, Mello has been involved in cheerleading since the age of three. She continued in cheerleading through high school and later at Thomas Jefferson University, where she served as team captain during her senior year.
Kelsey completed a clinical rotation with the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Training staff, where she fell in love with the community and student-athletes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and attending sporting events.
Mello holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and she is currently in her final year of Thomas Jefferson University’s athletic training master’s program.
