Jen Cronin enters her second year with the Griffins. She is a three-time NCAA qualifier – twice in cross country, once in track and field. Cronin brings a wealth of knowledge and elite experience to the team.
A former standout at Lebanon Valley College, she was the 2009 NCAA Mideast Regional Champion as a junior as well as a record holder in the track & field program as well. Cronin owns the outdoor school records in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run in addition to an indoor mark in the distance medley relay.
Additionally, she ranks second all-time in the indoor mile run, the 3,000 meters, and the 5,000, while outdoors, she is second in the 1,500 and fourth in the 3,000.
Cronin is named to the Middle Athletic Conference’s Women’s Cross Country Century Team, recognizing the top student-athletes in the 100-plus years of the league’s existence.
Her personal bests range from 4:36 in the 1,500 meters to 17:12 in the 5,000, and from 1:21.02 in the half-marathon to 3:01.02 in the full marathon.
Cronin is a Boston Marathon qualifier and won the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon in 2013 & 2015.
After successful stints coaching at the high school level, she was a volunteer coach at nearby Ursinus College last season.
