Russ has been a welcome addition to the Gwynedd coaching staff, proving to be a vital piece in keeping the team functioning at it’s high level. Coach Holt stated “Russ has not only provided us with coaching and knowledge, especially with our younger players, but he has been a consistent part of the staff since day 1. I literally could not have achieved our success without him, as he provides much needed stability to our championship team”.
He has been a member of Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont for 12 years where he has won three singles championships and three doubles championships.
As a USTA member, Russ has played in numerous USTA matches and club tournaments at Philadelphia Sports Club.
As a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Russ retired in 2006 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Lawrie lives in Hatfield with his wife, Elaine, and has two sons, Arthur and Clark.
