The Griifins women's tennis program for years has prided itself on having the best tennis coaching staffs in the area. The Griffins continued to maintain this pride by adding Assistant Coach Jodie Pitt to their coaching staff. Educationally, Coach Pitt obtained her Masters of Science in Reading at Gwynedd, after receiving her Bachelors of Health Administration from Arcadia & also Masters of Art in Education at the University of London. While there, she coached the Queen Mary & Westfield hockey team after an incredibly decorated high school career. Jodie was a 3 time State field Champion at Upper Moreland High School.
In the classroom, Coach Pitt taught middle school at Wakisha charter school and Germantown settlement charter school. She presently teaches English at Methacton high school. Head Coach Jim Holt wanted to bring her on as an assistant after meeting Jodie during her tennis clinics/competition at local Frog Hollow Tennis Academy, the top tennis facility in the area. "I quickly realized that Jodie would be an ideal fit to work with Gwynedd women, not just as a coach, but also as a great mentor. The women on the team gravitated to her immediately, which didn't surprise me." Coach Holt stated. Being a former standout student athlete, allows Coach Pitt to really relate to the team.
