Jurewicz comes to Gwynedd after spending the previous four seasons as an assistant at Temple University, her alma mater. As an Owl, Jurewicz was a two-time captain, two-time team MVP and four-year starter for the Cherry and the White where she graduated in 2016 with a degree in Advertising.
Her other coaching experience stems on the club level where she coached the FC Bucks, where she guided ECNL/NPL teams ranging from ages 9-18 and for the Continental FC Conshohocken U19 squads. Jurewicz holds a United States Soccer Federation ‘D’ Coaching License.
“I am super excited to become a part of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics family! I'd like to thank Keith Mondillo, Paul Murphy, John Baron, Jenna Allonardo and the rest of the search committee for affording me the opportunity to lead the Gwynedd Mercy Women's Soccer program. I strongly believe my leadership style and values align with those of the rest of the Athletic Department. I'm thrilled to lead the program and I'm looking forward to the fall,” said Jurewicz.
Athletic Director Keith Mondillo stated "I am excited to have Paula as our new head women's soccer coach here at Gwynedd Mercy University. Her leadership skills became apparent throughout the process. Paula's experience as a student-athlete at Temple and her years as a Division I assistant coach allowed her to gain valuable skills that will help her succeed as the coach of our women’s soccer program. Her experience recruiting and coaching at a high level, along with her dedication to a thriving team culture will allow her to move the program forward as a first year head coach."
