Mickey Hover will be entering his third season as an assistant with the Gwynedd Mercy Women’s Lacrosse. During his time with the Griffins he has helped them to a 21-15 record. He works primarily with the goalies; current senior goalie, Trisha Timony, had 425 saves in the past two seasons, garnering second-team all conference in 2011 and Honorable Mention all conference in 2010. Gwynedd Mercy competed in the CSAC Championship in the past two seasons.

During the summer he has worked at numerous camps and clinics. He is currently a counselor at Top 205 in Towson, Maryland. He also has and currently works for Rutgers MVP, Bill Pilat’s Goalie School, True North Lacrosse and Cardigan Mountain Camp.

Mickey Hover is one of the top indoor lacrosse goalies in the USA. He was recently named to the reserve team for the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. This team will be traveling to Prague for an eight day competition with the best of the world.

Hover was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Wings on Dec. 8, 2008, and spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons as a goalie on the Philadelphia Wings. He also plays as much box lacrosse as he can; he currently plays for the USA Developmental Team and numerous box lacrosse leagues and tournaments.

He is a 2008 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University where he played goalie for his four years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and is currently finishing his master’s in elementary education with a certificate in special education.

A graduate of Montgomery High School in New Jersey, Hover was MVP in both ice hockey and lacrosse, First Team All-Conference, All-State Curcio Division in lacrosse, and still holds his high school’s lacrosse save percentage record. He was selected for the Gil Gibbs Senior Game and captained his squad.
