John Geary joins the Gwynedd Mercy University staff in the fall of 2018 after a successful high school coaching career. Goalie coaching is his primary focus at Gwynedd, but he is involved in all ends of the field.  Geary spent six seasons as the head girls' lacrosse coach of Merion Mercy Academy where he accumulated over 100 wins, was five time AACA league champions, and made it to PIAA district playoffs five times. At Merion Mercy, he coached two All-Americans and had over twenty players recruited to different colleges. He spent the 2018 season as the goalie coach for Harriton High School.
Geary spent ten years with Radnor Girls Youth Lacrosse as the president, coach, and administrator. In those roles he managed coaches training, equipment, all volunteers, and over 500 players. Â He is the current vice president of the Pennsylvania Area Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association.Â
Geary played football and lacrosse at Georgetown University. Â He brings extensive goalie knowledge to the Gwynedd Mercy women's lacrosse team. Â
