Beth Wheeler

Beth Wheeler is in her first season as the Gwynedd-Mercy College Head Lacrosse Coach. Wheeler comes to GMC after serving for three years as Assistant Field Hockey and Lacrosse Coach at Kutztown University. A 2008 graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, Wheeler assisted with the re-launch of the Kutztown's Women’s Lacrosse program and took on the role of Interim Head Coach during the 2009 season.

Prior to her time at KU, Wheeler was an English teacher, as well as a field hockey and lacrosse coach at Saint James School in Maryland. She started her coaching career as an assistant lacrosse coach at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Virgina, where her team competed in the SWVLA Championship.

Wheeler, a New Hampshire native, was a two-sport athlete at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. During her time at Roanoke, the lacrosse team had multiple Old Dominion Athletic Conference post-season appearances and Wheeler was a four-year starter and member of the 2002 ODAC Championship Field Hockey team.

During her college career Wheeler was a captain, Academic All-American, and All-Conference athlete.

Wheeler lives in Doylestown and is currently completing a Master’s level internship in the Counseling Department and is assistant field hockey coach at Council Rock High School South.
