Roxy Iliescu

Roxy Iliescu joined the Gwynedd Mercy University cross country and track & field coaching staffs as an assistant prior to the 2025-2026 academic year. A two-time Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) All-Academic (2022-2023, 2023-2024) performer, Ilisecu earned a 2023 bachelor’s degree from Arcadia University in studio art with a concentration in photography and a minor in Jewish studies.

During her five seasons with at Arcadia University, Iliescu competed as a member of both the Knights’ cross country and track and field teams. Her cross country career bests include a 24:06.4 (@ Blazer Twilight Meet on Sept. 13, 2019) in the five kilometer (5K) and a 29:17.1 (@ Paul Short Run on Oct. 5, 2019) in the six kilometer (6K). Meanwhile, her track and field success includes personal records of 8.01 (@ 21st Annual ESU DeSchriver Invitational on Feb. 1, 2020) in the 55-Meter, an 8.31 (@ 2023 TCNJ Indoor Open on Dec 2, 2023) in the 60-Meter, a 13.34 (@ 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor T&F Championships on May 2- 4, 2024) in the 100-Meter, a 27.84 (@ Widener MAC Only Meet #4 on Apr. 24, 2021) in the 200-Meter, a 48.65 (@ Bow Tie Invitational on Dec 6, 2019) in the 300-Meter, a 5.15 (@ Plex Shootout on Feb. 3, 2024) meter Long Jump, and a 9.06 (@ 2023 Messiah Multi/Invitational on Apr. 13-15, 2023) meter Triple Jump.
 
Iliescu has also pursued a professional photography career with past roles at Luria Visuals (Photographer, 2019-2020) and her alma mater (Sports Information Photographer, 2019-2024/Photo Lab Assistant, 2021-2023), but has filled more recent positions with Cheltenham Elementary as an art teacher (2024), as well as Camp by the Sea (2023) and Southampton Summer Day Camp (2017-present) as a camp counselor.
