Taylor Sweeney joined the Gwynedd Mercy University women’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2022-2023 season. Coach Sweeney’s responsibilities include assistance with local high school recruiting, general conditioning of the student-athletes, and break down of game footage.
A product of Fencor Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Coach Sweeney has coached with the local basketball club since 2015-2016. In 2019, she took on head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach duties for Hatboro Horsham High School (2019-2022). The Lady Hatters’ varsity team made the district playoff twice during her three-year tenure and the 2021-2022 junior varsity team posted an 11-5 finish.
Sweeney played collegiately at King’s College (PA), where she was also a member of the women’s soccer team. She graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
