Biography
SOPHOMORE (2022) – Cordero (29gp-28gs) played a majority of her innings at shortstop and led-off the Gwynedd Mercy University lineup with a .416 (37-for-89)/.464/.438 slash line that produced 16 runs scored and four RBI. She led the Griffins in batting average (AVG) (1st, .416), at-bats (1st, 89), hits (1st, 37), total bases (1st, 39), walks (T1st, 7), hit-by-pitch (T1st, 1), and on-base percentage (OBP) (1st, .464). Her AVG (5th), hits (10th), and OBP (6th) ranked among the AEC Top-10 and earned her a spot on the 2022 All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Softball Second Team. She was named to the AEC Softball Weekly Honor Roll on April 11, after going 7-for-7 with four runs scored and a run-batted-in (RBI) in a doubleheader sweep of Cairn University (W, 12-3 (5)/W, 10-8).
JUNIOR (2023) - Cordero (34gp-33gs) all season long was the lead-off hitter for the Griffins. She finished with a slash line of .315 (35-of-111)/.387/.324 (AVG/OBP/SLG). Cordero led the team in runs (33) and stolen bases (10-of-11, .909).
SENIOR (2024) – An All-AEC First Team selection, Cordero (38gp-37gs) was the ignition for the Red and Gold offense, as she led off the Gwynedd Mercy University lineup with league-highs in walks (1st, 24 BB) and on-base percentage (1st, .496 OBP). She also ranked among the AEC Top-10 in hits (6th, 42), batting average (6th, .372 BA), and runs (7th, 26). Cordero stole five bases (5-for-5, 1.000) over the course of the season and recorded the first of many Griffin milestones with her 100th collegiate hit coming in her final at-bat of the 12-1, six-inning victory over Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) – Florham (W, 12-1 (6) on Mar. 11)
FIFTH-YEAR (2025) - An All-AEC Second Team selection, Cordero (36gp-36gs) was the everyday center fielder for the Griffins. Cordero finished with .343 (37-of-108)/.459/.370 slash line and was Top-10 in the conference with runs (9th, 26), walks (5th, 16), and on base percentage (5th, .469). Cordero was second on the team in stolen bases (1-of-4, .250) and tallied her first collegiate triple on April 10 against AEC foe Centenary University. Cordero also appeared on the AEC Weekly Honor Roll on March 31. She finished her collegiate career among the program’s Top-10 all-time in games played (1st, 160), games started (1st, 153), at-bats (480), batting average (6th, .362; 174-for-480), on-base percentage (4th, .452), runs scored (4th, 112), hits (2nd, 174), walks (2nd, 63), hit-by-pitch (2nd, 16), and sacrifice hits (1st, 16).
