Biography

SOPHOMORE (2022) – Baumeister (29gp-28gs) finished the year with a 3-9 record on a staff-low 4.60 earned run average (ERA); she struck out 79 over the course of 86.2 innings. At the plate, Baumeister batted-in a team-high 16 runs with a .378 (31-for-82)/.393/.439 slash line. She made back-to-back appearances on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Softball Weekly Report. Baumeister first earned an Honor Roll appearance on March 28, earning her first win (1-5) of the season while going 1-for-3 with a run-batted-in (RBI) in Gwynedd Mercy University’s AEC season opener versus Neumann University (Mar. 21) and going 5-for-7 in a doubleheader versus Elmira College (Mar. 26). Her second straight appearance garnered her the Pitcher of the Week honor (Apr. 4); Baumeister led the Gwynedd Mercy University to league wins over Marymount University (W, 3-1/W, 3-1 on Apr. 2) with pair of hits in both games and the game-two victory (2-5). She allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out five.

JUNIOR (2023) - Baumeister (30gp-25gs) finished her junior season with a 6-8 record and 5.80 earned run average (ERA). In 82 innings pitched she had a team-high 56 strikeouts. At the plate, Baumeister finished third on the team with 17 runs-batted-in (RBI) with a .361 (26-of-72)/.432/.458 (AVG/OBP/SLG) slash line. On March 6, Baumeister swept the AEC Softball Weekly award (Player/Pithcer). Her play in a Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic win over Bridgewater State University (W, 7-0 on Mar. 5) went the full seven versus the Bears, earning the win (1-0, 7.0 IP, 2H, BB, 6K) while going 2-for-3 with a run and four runs-batted-in (RBI).

SENIOR (2024) – An All-AEC Second Team selection, Baumeister (31gp-26gs/15app-13gs) ranked fourth in the league for earned run average (4th, 2.47 ERA) and tied for sixth in wins (6th, 6), while ranking eighth in innings pitched (8th, 85.0 IP). She also ranked among the AEC Top-10 in starts (8th, 13), complete games (T4th, 11 CG), shutouts (T5th, 1 SHO), strikeouts (5th, 71), and batting average against (.249 B/AVG; 85-for-341). Baumeister also totaled 13 runs and a dozen (12) RBI with a .291 (25-for-86)/.337/.326 slash line while playing in the Griffin infield. She drew six walks and stole one base (1-for-1, 1.000) Baumeister appeared on four straight AEC Weekly Reports, earning Honor Roll mentions on March 26, April 8, and April 15, while garnering the AEC Pitcher of the Week award on April 2. In a milestone season, she recorded her 100th career hit with a first-inning single to left field in a game-two win versus Penn State Abington (W, 4-2 on Apr. 16) and marked her 200th career strikeout amidst a five-strikeout effort in the second game against Stockton University (L, 0-5 on Apr. 18). In the circle, Baumeister finished her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts with 213 (1st), while also accumulating Top-10 numbers in batting average against (4th, .297), strikeouts per seven innings (1st, 5.46 K/7), wins (T8th, 15), saves (T3rd, 1), appearances (T4th, 57 APP), games started (7th, 42), complete games (T8th, 32), shutouts (T9th, 3), and innings pitched (6th, 273.1 IP). Meanwhile, at the plate she ranked among the Top-10 all-time in batting average (7th, .344; 107-for-311), slugging (10th, .437), doubles (8th, 21), runs-batted-in (9th, 62 RBI), sacrifice flies (T5th, 3), and sacrifice hits (T6th, 8).

FIFTH-YEAR (2025) - Baumeister's (32gp-28gs/22app-15gs) 2025 All-AEC First Team selection was the second all-league accolade of her collegiate career as the Red and Gold’s ace was a Second Team performer in 2024. In 2025, she also ranked among the league's Top-5 in wins (3rd, 9), innings pitched (4th, 112.2 IP), shutouts (4th, 1), and starts, (5th, 15). With her career-year in strikeouts (115), Baumeister finished her collegiate career with a program-record 328. In addition to her previously mentioned offensive stats, Baumeister finished with a .387 (36-for-93)/.396/.484 slash line that scored her a dozen (12) times. She was beaned twice and stole one base (1-for-1, 1.000). Baumeister appeared on the AEC Softball Weekly Report six times, earning Weekly Honor Roll mentions March 18, March 25, March 31, April 14, April 21, and April 28.
