A former assistant to Joe Dare, Dylan Bennett returned to Gwynedd Mercy University in April 2023 as the head coach for Griffins’ indoor and outdoor track and field teams. In between his terms at Gwynedd Mercy University, Coach Bennett served as the head track and field coach for Methacton High School (Aug. 2020 - Nov. 2021) and an assistant coach at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II, West Chester University (Dec. 2021 - Oct. 2022).

Under the direction of first-year Head Coach Dylan Bennett, another impressive performance from junior Branden Soubik '24 earned Gwynedd Mercy University third place (3rd of 5, 56 points) at the 2023 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Track and Field Championship Meet (May 5 & 6). Soubik's successes on the track were complimented by All-AEC finishes from junior Melvin Mathew '24 in the 110-Meter Hurdles (2nd Team, 2nd, 20.65) and junior Karam Aldarwich '24  in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase (2nd Team, 2nd, 11:05.41).

Junior Natalie O'Neill '24 scored half of the Griffins' 26 points in a fifth-place finish (5th of 10, 26 points) at the 2023 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Track and Field Championship Meet (May 5 & 6). During the course of the season, O'Neill's successes on the track were complimented by strong seasons from sophomore Jenna Clarency '25  and senior Meghan LoStracco '23.

Following graduation from Boyertown High School (2015), Coach Bennett went on to an impressive collegiate career at Alvernia University (2015-2019). Bennett was a three-year (2016-2019) captain for the Golden Wolves and earned both the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP, 2017-2018) and Most Improved Athlete (2017-2018) honors during his stay in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was an eight-time Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) qualifier in the 60-Meter, 100-Meter, 200-Meter, and 60-Meter while garnering All-MAC Third Team honors in the 4x400 (2015-2016, 2018-2019) and 4x200-Meter Relays (2015-2016). Bennett also twice qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships (2015-2016, 2017-2018), earned a 2018-2019 MAC All-Sportsmanship honor, holds the school record in the Sprint Medley Relay and garnered several additional team awards. He graduated from Alvernia University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in political science.

In his first stint at Gwynedd Mercy University (2019-2020), Bennett served as a sprint and jump assistant under Head Coach Joe Dare. The COVID-shortened season saw a Griffin qualify for the NCAA High Jump and six others qualify for sprint and jump events at the ECAC Championships. While at Methacton High School, Coach Bennet produced 26 Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC) qualifiers with 10 podium placements.

Coach Bennett currently resides Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
