Russ Lawrie was named the head coach of the men's tennis program in September of 2019.
Lawrie has been an assistant with the Griffin Women's Team the last two seasons and has helped out with the mens squad during that time.
He has been a member of Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont for over 12 years where he has won three singles championships and three doubles championships.
As a USTA member, Russ has played in numerous USTA matches and club tournaments at Philadelphia Sports Club.
As a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Russ retired in 2006 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Lawrie lives in Hatfield with his wife, Elaine, and has two sons, Arthur and Clark.
