Former Gwynedd team captain and all conference performer Mike Leonard returns to the Gwynedd Mercy sideline for his sixth season.
Mike is one of the finest student athletes to wear the Gwynedd uniform, leading the Griffins to the playoffs three times and the conference semifinals twice. The highlight of Mike’s career was an upset shutout of Cabrini in the conference quarterfinals and a double OT heartbreaking loss to Neumann in the conference semi finals.
Mike excelled on campus, in the dorms, as the president of SAAC and in the classroom. He capped his senior year by being named to The Philadelphia Inquirer All Area academic team.
He will be in charge of overall team physical conditioning. Leonard is employed full time as the Wellness Director Manager for two local YMCA's.
