Andrew Weyershaeuser joined Coach Bontempo's staff as an assistant prior to the 2025 season. As an assistant with Bryn Athyn College’s men’s soccer program (2017-2025) and the Phoenix Soccer Club of Trevose, Pennsylvania (2017-2019). Fulfilling a role similar to his previous appointments, Coach Weyershaeuser aids in daily team operations, recruiting efforts, and game plans for the Gwynedd Mercy University men’s soccer program.
During his tenure, he helped lead the Bryn Athyn (College) Lions to United East Conference Championship Tournaments in 2021 and 2023. Both seasons saw student-athlete earns all-conference recognition as Owen Ovecka (2nd Team), Vince Buccafuri (Honorable Mention), and Justin Lykunov (Honorable Mention) were honored in 2021, and Nathan Scavo (2nd Team) and Tim Ragan (3rd Team) were honored in 2023. From 2017 to 2024 Bryn Athyn College men’s soccer team was 20-67-4 (.242) overall and 9-32-2 (.233) in the United East.
Weyershaeuser played collegiately at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I member, La Salle University (2011-2012). There, he recorded an assist (1 point) and 20 shots while making 17 starts in 34 career contests; he Explorers reached the Atlantic 10 (A10) Semifinals in 2011 (7-9-4 overall, 4-2-3 A10) and the A10 Quarterfinals in 2012 (10-7-3, 4-4-1). Weyershaeuser graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in health science.
Weyershaeuser is a 2010 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School. He was a captain for the boys’ soccer team as a senior (2009) and was a three-year starter (2007-2009) for the Hatters while garnering Suburban One All-League honors following each season.
A life-long soccer enthusiast, Coach Weyershaeuser currently plays with the men’s over 30 team at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE) of Warminster, Pennsylvania. A highly competitive club team, Weyershaeuser won United Soccer League of Pennsylvania (USLP) Championships with VE in 2023, 2024, and 2025; the 2023 team advanced as far as the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) Region 1 Finals.
