Bryan Pearson joined the Gwynedd Mercy University track and field coaching staff as as thowing assistant prior to the 2025-2026 indoor season. Coach Pearson most recently served as the field coach for New Hope-Solebury High School (2021-2024) and an assistant coach at his alma mater, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II member, Shippensburg University (2018-2020).

At Shippensburg University and New Hope-Solebury High School, Coach Pearson helped the Raiders and Lions improve their throws in shot put, discus, hammer, and javelin with techniques and feedback designed to enhance conditioning, strength, and performance. At New Hope-Solebury, Coach Pearson put a young Suburban One program back the path to high-level competition. During his time as a graduate assistant with his alma mater, Shippensburg University, Coach Pearson worked closely with an experienced throwing team that celebrated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) individual championships for Cam Strohe ’20 in the Hammer (1st, 57.17, Outdoor 2019) and Weight (1st, 18.60, Indoor 2020).
 
Pearson was a four-time NCAA Division II All-American at Shippensburg University with Discus performances in 2016 (6th, 52.92), 2017 (10th, 52.14), and 2018 (5th, 54.48) and a Shot Put in 2017 (17th, 15.54). He was a two-time United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Men’s Field Athlete of the Year (2016, 2017) and holds seven Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Individual Championships; Discus (2016; 51.20, 2017; 53.33, 2018; 52.39), Shot Put (2016; 16.85, 2017; 17.19), Hammer (2018; 54.04), and Weight Throw (2018; 17.79).

Pearson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Shippensburg University with a 3.8 grade point average (GPA) and was a member of the Gamma Theta Upsilon International Geographical Honors Society before earning his geoenvironmental studies bachelor’s in 2018 and master’s in 2020. He currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
