JUNIOR (2021) – Johnston recorded his top eight-kilometer (8K) time (140^th, 34:22.7) at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) DIII Metro Regional Championship (Nov. 13, 8K). He also finished 14^th (20:39.7) at the Griffin 5K Invitational (Sept. 4, 5K), 67^th (38:13.3) at the Philadelphia Metro Meet (Sept. 11, 8K), 118^th (34:53.3) at the Osprey Open (Sept. 25, 8K), 199^th (35:00.3) at the Paul Short Invitational (Oct. 1, 8K), 25^th (34:39.0) at the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Cross Country Championship (Oct. 30, 8K), and eighth (22:03) at the Gwynedd Mercy University End of the Season 5K (Nov. 6, 5K).

SENIOR (2022) – Johnston enjoyed a Top-20 finish at the Gwynedd Mercy University Invitational (18^th, 21:42.7, 5K on Sept. 1) and a Top-30 finish at the AEC Championship Meet (26^th, 32:36.0, 8K on Oct. 29). He also finished 77^th (20:27.63) at Stockton University’s Osprey Memorial Invitational (5K, Sept. 8), 61^st (33:51.30) at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Invitational (8K, Sept. 23), 288^th (33:52.9) at the Rowan University’s Border Battle (8K, Oct. 15), and 151^st (35:16) at the NCAA DIII Metro Regional Championship (8K, Nov. 12).
