Biography

FRESHMAN (2021) – Filchner (18gp-18gs) finished her rookie campaign with a pair of goals (2). Both of them (34:22, 47:05) came in the Griffins’ 2-0 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Opening Round victory over #6 Neumann University (Oct. 30). She finished the season with four points and two shots.

SOPHOMORE (2022) - Filchner (17gp-17gs) finished the season with four shots, seven corners, and a defensive save. She also scored a goal in the AEC Quarterfinal stroke-off against Immaculata University (L, 0-1 on Oct. 29); she was one of three Griffins to do so.

JUNIOR (2023) – In her first season at team captain, Filchner (17gp-17gs) was named to the 2023 All-AEC Second Team. She appeared on the AEC Field Hockey Weekly Honor Roll on October 2 after scoring both Gwynedd Mercy University goals in a busy 1-2 week; she netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 triumph over Cedar Crest College (Sept. 25) and scored the lone Griffin tally of a 4-1 loss to Delaware Valley University (Sept. 30). She totaled 11 points (5 goals, 1 assist) thanks to five goals on 14 shots (.357 SH%). Filchner recorded a defensive save in the regular-season meeting with Immaculata University (L, 2-3 (2OT) on Oct. 11) and scored a penalty stroke goal versus Cabrini University (L, 1-6 on Oct. 21).

SENIOR (2024) – Filchner (18gp-18gs) earned All-AEC First Team recognition with career-highs in points (19), goals (8), and assists (3); her point total was enough for a share of the team-lead, while tying her for sixth among her AEC peers. The two-year captain also ranked among the AEC Top-10 in goals (7th, 8), assists (T9th, 3), game-winning goals (T6th , 2 GWG), and defensive saves (T5th, 2). She earned three AEC Weekly Honor Roll (Sept. 3, Oct. 8, Oct. 21) appearances and recorded game-winning goals against Cedar Crest College (W, 3-0 on Aug. 31) and Neumann University (W, 5-0 on Oct. 19). Filchner put 15 of her career-high 26 shots on goal and was unsuccessful with her only penalty stroke (0-of-1, .000) of the season.
