SOPHOMORE (2021-2022) – Atonal’Varela enjoyed a quality sophomore season, posting personal bests in the Mile (47th, 5:41.90 @ Monmouth University Winter Invitational on Feb. 11), 1,000-Meter (20th, 3:15.49 @ Fastrack Last Chance Invitational on Feb. 25), 800-Meter (52nd, 2:39.09 @ Ursinus College Invitational on Apr. 9), 1,500-Meter (88th, 5:05.81 @ Widener Invitational on Apr. 22), and 3,000-Meter (11th, 13:38.69 @ Lions’ Invitational on Apr. 30), and Decathlon (3rd, 1,335 points @ AEC Championship Meet on May 8).
