Bradley and Sloan Hit Career Milestones In Battle With Aggies

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (3/23/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University (1-8) showcased an aggressive offensive approach and strong possession play Monday afternoon, outshooting Delaware Valley University (4-4) and controlling key hustle categories despite a 10–6 loss at the Athletic Complex. Offensively, Gwynedd Mercy generated consistent opportunities, finishing with a 30–19 advantage in shots and a 15–11 edge in shots on goal. Sophomore midfielder Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) led the attack with a hat trick, including two free-position goals, while senior midfielder Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.) added two goals and a team-high four draw controls to help control possession.

Griffin Highlights:  

  • The Griffins came out sharp, matching the Aggies goal-for-goal in the opening quarter. Freshman midfielder Samantha Whelan (Birdsboro, Pa.) opened the scoring off a feed from sophomore attacker Sydney Pryor (West Chester, Pa.), while Colliluori and Bradley each found the back of the net to help Gwynedd Mercy finish the first period tied 3–3.  
  • Gwynedd Mercy carried that momentum into the second quarter, taking its first lead of the game when Colliluori converted a man-down goal off another assist from Pryor. The Griffins held Delaware Valley to just one goal in the period and entered halftime tied 4–4, fueled by strong defensive pressure and clean clears.  
  • The Griffins collected 25 ground balls compared to Delaware Valley's 12 and forced 36 turnovers, highlighting the team's relentless defensive effort. contributed across the field with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Colliluori added five caused turnovers and continued to disrupt Delaware Valley's attack.  
  • In the fourth quarter, Gwynedd Mercy continued to push, cutting into the deficit with a Bradley goal and a late free-position finish from Colliluori. The Griffins also showed discipline in transition, finishing 19-of-27 on clears while maintaining pressure until the final whistle. 
  • Despite the loss, both Bradley and senior goalkeeper Victoria Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) garnered milestones in the contest. Bradley, on her fourth draw control in the contest, reached 100 career draw controls, while Sloan, with her second save, knotted her 200th career save.  

Gwynedd Mercy will play its final non-conference game of the 2026 when the team travels to Alvernia University on Wednesday, March 25, with a scheduled 4:00 p.m. start.
