Griffin Highlights
- After giving up the first goal (1-0, 11:41 1QTR) of the game, the Griffins quickly fired back with four consecutive Bradley scores (11:15, 10:02, 9:34, 8:16) and a Bradley-Gordon connection that left the Red and Gold up 5-1 with 5:03 remaining in the first quarter.
- Gwynedd Mercy University continued to look for Bradley in the second quarter. There, she scored twice (12:26, 8:55) early, before Gordon to help spur the Griffins to a 11-6 halftime edge with three goals in the final eight minutes (7:51, 4:47, 2:39) of the frame.
- The second half of the game followed a similar pattern as the Monarchs netted a third-quarter tally, 11-7 (5:54) before the Red and Gold finished the affair with a 6-0 run.
- Bradley's nine-point performance is her best as a Griffin to date. She scored a season-high eight goals on 17 shots and she was 1-for-4 (.250) on her free position opportunities.
- Similarly, Gordon took 12 shots to match her career-high seven goals. She was 2-for-2 (1.000) on her free position attempts. Her eight points is a career-high.
- Senior goalkeeper Victoria Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) had five saves to earn the win (1-6). She also gathered five ground balls.
- Overall, Gwynedd Mercy University was successful on 18-of-25 (.720) on their clears and they out-shot King College 42-20. The Griffins also forced 26 turnovers and collecting 22 ground balls, while leading the Monarchs 14-12 on the draw.
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to the Athletic Complex on Saturday, March 21, when they host Lebanon Valley College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
